Important messages
When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
💠Essential and asset qualifications may be assessed using interviews, written tests (in-house or other), reference checks, or a combination of these or other methods. Other sources of information (performance agreements, work samples, knowledge of selection board members, etc.) could be used to assess the criteria identified in the Statement of Merit Criteria.
💠Candidates must meet all essential qualifications listed in the Statement of Merit Criteria to be appointed to a position. A candidate may be appointed to a position without having some or all of the asset qualifications. However, it is preferable to meet these criteria as they can be a determining factor in the choice of who will be appointed.
💠For this selection process, communications with candidates at the screening and assessment stages will be done by email. The results and the sending of interview invitations will therefore be done by email. Consequently, candidates must ensure that a valid email address is included in their application. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that the address provided is functional, that messages from unknown users are accepted (some systems block these types of emails) and to frequently check their inbox and SPAM/JUNK folders. Candidates must also ensure that the contact information they provide is accurate and updated as necessary.
🚩 Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they meet the essential EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE qualifications. It is NOT enough to simply state that you meet the requirements or provide a list of your current or past responsibilities. Instead, you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN and WHERE you met the requirements by providing concrete examples. Vague statements or simple to-do lists may not establish that you meet the required qualifications. It is therefore important to provide sufficient detail to clearly demonstrate that you have the education and experience you are looking for.
🚩 This involves indicating:
💠The education you have completed, including the degrees you obtained and the educational institutions you have attended;
💠Your relevant work experience, specifying the positions held, the dates of employment, the main responsibilities assumed and the context in which this experience was acquired.
🚩If you do not provide sufficient information, your application will be eliminated.
💠 Only candidates whose candidacy clearly demonstrates that they meet the essential qualifications may be invited to subsequent stages of the assessment process.
💠 Random or top-down selection may be used to determine who will advance to the next stage of the evaluation process.
💠Supervisor approval is required for assignment, secondment or acting appointment.
💠You must be able to provide your proof of education.
💠 You are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official language(s) of your choice.
