Intent of the process
πŸ“’ The immediate intent of this process is to staff three (3) indeterminate TI-06 positions at the Vancouver International Airport location.
A pool of qualified and/or partially assessed candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various locations (Calgary International Airport, Edmonton International Airport, Vancouver International Airport) within Transport Canada.

Conditions of employment

βœ… Secret security clearance
βœ… Satisfactory completion of a Health Canada Category III pre-employment medical examination and periodic medical evaluations. (This may include visual, auditory and physical evaluations.)
βœ… Required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
βœ… Required to perform stand-by duties on a 24/7 basis.
βœ… Required to travel on short notice for extended periods regionally, domestically and internationally using all modes of transportation.
βœ… Required to work overtime and/or irregular hours as assigned including on short notice.
βœ… Able to obtain and maintain a valid passport for international travel as required.

Operational Requirements

➀ Willing and able to obtain and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP).
➀ Willing and able to work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
➀ Ability and willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally by various modes of transport.
➀ Willing and able to drive for long distances in all weather conditions.
➀ Willing and able to travel alone to isolated and remote locations.
➀ Willing and able to work in and around airport and cargo facility environments, including remote and industrial locations.
➀ Willing and able to climb structures and equipment on sites where the access is difficult and the terrain rugged, on occasion when required.
➀ Willing and able to work around animals and in funeral home environments.
