About the position

Work environment
We are looking for detail-oriented professionals to provide critical administrative and operational support for our detachments. These roles are the backbone of the Southeast District office, and they ensure that financial, statistical, and records management systems run smoothly so our members can focus on their mandate for public safety. You will be required to have analytical skills with the ability to research, extract, and reconcile complex data to ensure high-quality reporting.
You will provide Financial Coordination through managing the detachment budget - coordinating estimates, recommending strategies, and reconciling financial transactions. You will also assist with our Information & Records Management by overseeing the development of statistical and narrative reports and maintain operational data across various automated systems (including PRIME and CPIC) and manual filing systems. Your role provides operational support for court liaison activities and general detachment administration. Being a stakeholder, you will liaise as a point of contact for victims, witnesses, complainants, and various government agencies (such as Correctional Services Canada and Interpol), to provide information and answer enquiries.
These positions operate in fast-paced police environments. Candidates should be comfortable managing constant interruptions and be resilient when handling unsettling or graphic crime scene reports and photographs during the transcription of court documents.
For a Public Service Employee (PSE), the Southeast District offers a unique professional environment. Due to the vast and varied geographical area, the administrative and support roles are more dynamic than in a typical urban office. You aren't just processing paperwork; you are helping manage the logistics of policing across a diverse landscape. As a result, you will have the opportunity to engage in various parts of the organization. You may find yourself coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders — from municipal governments and provincial agencies to federal partners, providing you with a much broader understanding of how the RCMP fits into the larger government framework. The Southeast District is an excellent place to build a resume. You will develop a versatile skill set in problem-solving and resource management. For a PSE, the Southeast District is a place where you can move beyond routine tasks and truly manage the business of policing. It is an ideal posting for someone who wants their administrative and operation expertise to have a visible, tangible impact on a diverse and geographically stunning region.
Person(s) will not be able to work Telework due to the nature of the duties.
Remote working is not a possibility with these position(s).
This position is located in a law enforcement environment which includes regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers.
Intent of the process
Anticipatory.
The anticipated intent/result of this process is to indeterminately staff (on a full time basis) [2] position(s).
The result of this selection process will be to create a pool of qualified candidates which may be used to fill future permanent or temporary vacancies.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.
