Duties

Reliability Status security clearance

• Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.
• Possess and maintain a valid provincial or territorial Class 5 driver's licence.

EDUCATIONGraduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering, geological engineering, naval architecture or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

EXPERIENCEAll Streams:• Experience in planning maintenance and construction projects.
• Experience in providing analysis, recommendations or advice related to integrated engineering services to decision makers, senior management, project managers or project teams.
• Experience in preparing reports, presentations, briefing notes and correspondence for senior management.EN-ENG-05 ONLY:• Experience in managing construction program financial, materiel and human resources.
• Experience in business case analysis.
• Experience in planning and implementing process improvement.

Depending on the position being staffed, asset qualification(s) may be invoked as essential qualification(s) at any stage of the selection process.ASSET EDUCATION• Graduation with a post-graduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the work to be performed.

ASSET OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION• Certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position (some positions may require eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada without regard for the field of specialization).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute.

ASSET EXPERIENCE• Experience in using the SAP PS (Project Systems) Module.
• Experience in managing Real Property projects.
• Experience in the development and delivery of sustainable infrastructure design, construction or maintenance.
• Experience in working in a mixed civilian and military environment.
