About the position

Intent of the process
A pool of qualified candidates may be created and used to staff indeterminate, term, full-time and part-time positions.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain an RCMP security clearance may involve, but is not limited to, a security/reliability interview, a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity, verification of credit/financial status, reference checks, education, employment history, online activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc., and may require certain residency requirements.

Conditions of employment

Security clearance: Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Enhanced Reliability Status
Willingness and ability to use material handling equipment to move heavy items on a daily basis
Willingness and ability to repetitively lift and carry boxes or equipment weighing up to 30kg on a daily basis
Willingness and ability to stand for extended periods of time on a daily basis
Willingness and ability to bend and go up and down ladders on a daily basis
Willingness and ability to wear Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved footwear and supplied uniform at all times during working hours
Willingness and ability to safely handle firearms, munitions and hazardous goods including irritants and explosives on a daily basis

Operational Requirements

Willing and able to work overtime if required or on short notice
Willing and able to travel for work and/or training purposes
