About the position
Work environment
Established in August 2009, Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor) is the only federal department with an exclusive mandate for the North. CanNor's vision is to develop a strong, diversified, sustainable and dynamic economy for Northerners and Indigenous people, communities and businesses across Canada's three Territories. As one of the smallest of the Government of Canada’s regional development agencies (less than 120 staff in total), CanNor provides a unique opportunity for individuals looking to be part of a small but mighty organization that leverages its nimbleness to tackle some serious, high-profile socio-economic issues.
Intent of the process
The intent is to staff one (1) position at the PM-04 group and level.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at the same group and level within the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor). The pool may be used to staff positions with various linguistic profiles, security requirements, conditions of employment, locations, and tenures, including indeterminate, term, acting, assignment, secondment and deployment.
The resulting pool may also be used by other federal organizations to staff similar positions, subject to the approval of the hiring organization.
