About the position

Duties
This position supports the senior economic development officers (CO-02s) with the administration and monitoring of contribution agreements related to projects, including contribution agreement execution, project activity monitoring, monitoring project cash flows, conducting risk reassessments, processing contribution agreement amendments, monitoring repayable contributions, amending repayment schedules, and completing project close-outs and results assessments.

The selected candidate will physically work in one of our offices locations: Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie, Kenora and Thunder Bay. In-office presence is currently required a minimum of 4 days per week onsite.
Intent of the process
Intent to staff two term position (approximately 17 months).
A list of fully or partially qualified candidates may be created to fill similar positions at the same level for various appointment types (e.g., term, acting, assignment, or permanent).
This process may also result in an extension of the temporary appointment or a permanent appointment, including for candidates initially appointed on a temporary basis.

Education :
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position. OR
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience :
• Experience in administering, monitoring, and/or delivering funding agreements, funding programs, or economic development initiatives.
• Experience analysing financial documents (e.g. financial statements, claims).
• Experience delivering client service and working with stakeholders.

• Experience with information management (IM)software.
• Experience with FedNor or other government grants and contributions (G&C) programs, policies and procedures.
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of the economic development challenges and opportunities in Northern Ontario.
