Duties
The Supervisor of Intelligence Analysts (EC-06) is responsible for leading and managing a team of intelligence analysts to deliver high-quality tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence products that support criminal investigations, organizational priorities, and executive decision-making. The role involves overseeing analytical projects, ensuring methodological rigor and quality control, managing human and financial resources, providing expert advice and briefings to senior management, and maintaining partnerships within the law enforcement and intelligence communities. The incumbent applies advanced intelligence analysis techniques, social science research methods, and knowledge of criminal and national security environments to identify trends, assess threats, produce actionable intelligence, and guide investigative priorities, while also mentoring staff, supporting professional development, and ensuring compliance with legal, policy, security, and information management requirements.

Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff an indeterminate position in Montreal (Quebec).
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions within the RCMP, the duration of which (term or indeterminate) and/or the security clearance (enhanced reliability, secret or top secret) and/or language profile could vary depending on the position.
If a civilian member (CM) is deemed qualified and considered for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the public service employee (PSE) category for the CM.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Note:
1. Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EX1. Extensive* experience using analytical techniques to conduct intelligence analysis on at least one of the following security-related matters: national security, organized crime, criminal intelligence and/or investigations.
EX2. Extensive* experience writing reports in order to provide specialized advice to senior levels on at least one of the following: national security, organized crime, criminal intelligence and/or investigations.
EX3. Significant** experience delivering verbal briefings to senior levels on at least one of the following security-related matters: national security, organized crime, criminal intelligence and/or investigations.
EX4. Experience in development and delivery of training on at least one of the following security-related matters: national security, organized crime, criminal intelligence and/or investigations.
EX5. Extensive* experience maintaining partnerships with at least two of the following: domestic or international stakeholders from other law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, government agencies/departments, academic communities, or private sector.
EX6. Experience mentoring in a work environment.
EX7. Experience leading project teams or coordinating complex intelligence projects.
*’’Extensive’’ is defined as the depth and breadth of professional experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties for a period of at least five years.
