The Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) is at the forefront of ensuring the safety of Canadians and the integrity of Canada’s financial system. As Canada’s financial intelligence unit and AML/ATF supervisor, FINTRAC helps combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and threats to the security of Canada.
As a Senior Analyst, Workplace Tools, your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the design, implementation, modernization, and continuous improvement of enterprise collaboration and document management platforms, including RDIMS, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Planner, and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for enterprise application architecture, governance, lifecycle management, and service delivery.
- Lead complex application initiatives, including deployments, upgrades, integrations, migrations, and transformation projects.
- Oversee the performance, security, compliance, and operational effectiveness of enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to develop solution strategies, drive adoption, and support organizational objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on enterprise application licensing and subscription management, while mentoring team members and leading the resolution of complex technical issues.
Work environmentFINTRAC is a separate agency and has its own classification system. This position is classified as FC-07 and is generally comparable to (but not an exact equivalent of) the IT-03 group and level.
This position requires onsite presence at FINTRAC headquarters (234 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, Ontario) a minimum of three (3) days per week. This requirement is expected to increase to four (4) days per week onsite. Additional onsite may be required to meet operational requirements.

EDUCATION:
ED1 - Graduation from a two‑year program of study from a recognized post‑secondary institution (e.g., college or university) with acceptable specialization in:
• Computer science
• Information technology
• Information management
• Or a related discipline relevant to the position to be staffed

EXPERIENCE:
E1 – Recent* and significant** experience designing, implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise collaboration and document management solutions, such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and/or RDIMS, in a large and complex environment.
E2 – Recent* and significant** experience leading enterprise application projects or initiatives, including the planning, implementation, integration, migration, or modernization of business-critical platforms and services.
E3 – Experience developing and applying governance, security, information management, and operational standards for enterprise applications.
E4 – Experience managing software licensing and subscription programs, including license administration and optimization, compliance monitoring, audit support, and cost management.
E5 - Recent* and significant** experience providing senior technical advice and guidance to management, business stakeholders, and technical teams, including the development of recommendations, strategies, and roadmaps for enterprise application services.
E6 - Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including business clients, technical teams, senior management, vendors, and external partners, to identify requirements and deliver enterprise technology solutions.
*Recent experience is defined as acquired within the last five (5) years.
** Significant experience is defined as having the depth and breadth of activities, as well as the complexity, diversity, and level of autonomy typically associated with having performed such duties for a minimum of two (2) years of cumulative experience.

KNOWLEDGE:
K1 – Knowledge of Information Management requirements, standards and guidelines within the government of Canada.
K2 – Knowledge of technical writing best practices for procedures, user guides and/or software implementation plans.
K3 – Knowledge of best practices, guidance and standards in implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise collaboration and document management solutions.
K4 – Knowledge of security principles, industry best practices, and enterprise security controls applicable to workplace technologies and cloud collaboration platforms.
K5 – Knowledge of software licensing and subscription management practices, including Microsoft licensing models, entitlement management, compliance monitoring, audit readiness, cost optimization, and software asset management principles.
K6 – Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and architecture, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Entra ID.

AEX1 - Experience designing, developing or supporting solutions using MS Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and more).
AEX2 - Experience administering, configuring, or developing solutions within SharePoint Online.
AEX3 – Industry certifications related to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Enterprise Administration, Information Management, Cybersecurity, or Cloud Technologies.
AEX4 - Experience in designing and leading the migration of corporate Information management systems (such as RDIMS, GCDOCS, IRIMS) to SharePoint.
