Intent of the process
The immediate need is to staff two positions on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of bilingual imperative CBC/CBC and an Enhanced Reliability Status.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM

HOW TO APPLY:
You will be required to answer screening questions to demonstrate how you meet the Essential Qualifications (Education and all Essential Experiences).

3- Specific details of tasks or projects demonstrating how the experience was acquired (Situation/Challenge, Tasks, Action and Result).

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following
Education:
Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the duties of the position, such as Construction Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Project Management;
OR
An acceptable combination of project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) and approximately ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience performing duties related to the position.

Experience:
EX1. Recent* and significant** experience in Architectural or Engineering designs or as a Project Manager of new construction or major renovations projects and associated contracts related to real property projects of more than $10 Million.
EX2. Recent and significant experience leading a multi-disciplinary project team of public or private sector resources for the delivery of Real Property projects.
EX3. Experience in the development, coordination and evaluation of contracts relating to construction project delivery.
EX4. Experience in conducting site visits, quality assurance of contract documentation, control monitoring of construction progress and inspection of Real Property Project throughout the project life-cycle
EX5. Recent* and significant** experience in managing a team of personnel involved in the delivery of Real Property construction projects.
EX6. Experience managing stakeholder expectations and reporting to Senior Management.
Definition:
*Recent is defined as the experience attained for 5 years within the last 10 years.
**Significant experience for the EG-07 position is defined as the demonstrated depth and breadth of experience associated with the execution of a diverse range of complex activities, normally acquired through approximately nine (9) years of relevant experience.

K1. Knowledge of the fundamentals of project management, processes utilized in the management of construction projects, such as theories, principles, practices and techniques, budgeting, scheduling etc.
K2. Knowledge of Federal/Provincial legislation, regulations, guidelines, and codes related to construction in Canada.
K3. Knowledge of fundamentals and principles of Human Resource Management.
Abilities/Skills:
A1. Ability to analyse issues, develop solutions and make recommendations.
A2. Ability to schedule, budget and manage consulting contracts and construction and goods and services.
A3. Ability to prepare, review and evaluate technical drawings and specifications for major construction, renovations, repair or maintenance projects.
A4. Ability to manage direct reports. Ability to communicate effectively orally.
A5. Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
A6. Ability to communicate effectively orally.
