As a Data Collection Clerk, you will be on the front lines of data collection, engaging directly with Canadians and businesses in your community. You will receive a laptop and cell phone to support your work and play an important role in gathering reliable information that helps shape programs, policies, and services across the country.

✓ Conduct computer assisted interviews (in person or via telephone) to collect, verify, edit, and organize survey data.

Intent of the process
The intent of the process is to staff Data Collection Clerk positions in remote locations.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within Statistics Canada with various tenures such as term, acting, assignment, secondment or deployment. The pool can be used to staff positions with various language requirements.
This recruitment campaign is part of Statistics Canada's Northern Hiring Strategy, which aims to build and maintain a sustainable workforce in Yukon. Statistics Canada is committed to hiring locally to strengthen operational effectiveness and ensure services are informed by local knowledge and perspectives. The department is also seeking to strengthen its capacity in Inuktitut and Inuinnaqtun.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Foreign Educational Credentials: Candidates with foreign educational credentials must provide proof of equivalency to a Canadian secondary school diploma or higher. An assessment from a recognized Canadian credential assessment organization is required, such as:
• World Education Services (WES)
• International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS)

•EXP1.  Experience in dealing with the public, either by telephone or in person (e.g., call center, front line customer service responding to requests for information, helpdesk, technical support, etc.)  
•EXP2.  Experience using various computer software packages or applications to perform daily tasks (launching applications, performing research, opening/closing/locating/editing of documents, or uploading information).  
Computer software or applications may include specialized software or any of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) products.
