DutiesAs the Commissioner's representative in the region, you will play a key role in promoting linguistic duality, language rights and compliance with the Official Languages Act. You will develop and implement strategies and action plans, while establishing and maintaining lasting relationships with communities, organizations, associations and decision-makers across various sectors to advance the Office's priorities.
You will provide strategic advice and recommendations to the Commissioner and senior management, while ensuring the Office's official representation with partners, on interdepartmental committees, regional federal councils and at public events. You will also contribute to the effective management of the regional office, including human resources, coordination of material resources, and compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

The Office of the Commissioner is a small organization of fewer than 200 employees that provides a positive, collaborative and bilingual work environment.
As part of this process, the position to be filled is located in Montreal. The person appointed will be required to report to the designated work location in accordance with the Common Hybrid Working Model for the Federal Public Service and the Organizational Guidelines for Telework.
