DutiesInformation Management Specialist – This position is primarily office-based with regular work in a records file room environment. You will support the management of physical records and provide Information Management (IM) guidance to RCMP clients, including handling, organizing, retrieving, and maintaining files in accordance with established procedures. The role requires a balance of desk work, in-person client service, and physical activity in the file room, which may involve lifting boxes up to 50 lbs, as well as frequent bending, crouching, and handling of files in a dusty environment. This position involves prolonged periods of sitting and computer-based work in a moderately busy office environment that may include noise and competing priorities.
Mailroom and Print Shop Clerk – This position supports divisional operations within a mailroom, print shop, and shipping/receiving environment. You will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail and parcels, coordinating deliveries, and supporting print production tasks such as printing and assembling booklets, manuals, and training materials. The work environment can have varying noise levels, frequent interruptions, and regular interaction with clients and delivery personnel. Duties require extended periods of standing, handling mail and print materials, and lifting boxes up to 50 lbs. The workspace may occasionally have reduced air quality due to proximity to loading areas and delivery bays.
Training Coordinator – This position is responsible for a variety of administrative functions, including financial processing and tracking, maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), managing electronic filing systems, and triaging a shared email inbox. The position also liaises with National partners to coordinate and maintain PROS access for K Division employees, ensuring users receive appropriate system access. The Administrative Support Clerk helps ensure efficient daily operations by keeping records organized, supporting unit activities, and providing responsive service to clients. This position involves prolonged periods of sitting and computer-based work, with a moderately busy office environment that may include noise and competing priorities.
Work environmentThe RCMP “K” Division is seeking candidates for multiple positions to fulfill the Administrative Support Clerk (CR-04). This role provides essential administrative and operational support within a collaborative Information Management (IM) environment.

Our office is located at the RCMP “K” Division Headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta. Some positions may require on-site presence five (5) days per week.
Intent of the process
This is an anticipatory staffing process designed to create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Conditions of employment
• RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS) security clearance.
Those selected must meet and maintain the above condition of employment throughout their employment.
The process requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.
Operational Requirements
• Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
• Willing and able to work overtime, as required.
• Willing and able to work in a dusty or noisy environment
• Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs

EDUCATION
• Successful completion of two (2) years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE
• Recent experience* using at least three (3) of the following M365 tools: Outlook. SharePoint, Word, Excel, List, OneNote, PowerPoint, Teams.
• Recent experience* providing administrative support services**.
**Administrative support services can include: Maintaining schedules; Triaging requests; Preparing/editing/formatting documents such as reports, correspondence etc.; Data entry; Processing mail.
• Experience liaising with and providing information or guidance to internal or external clients on administrative processes or program requirements
*Recent experience signifies within the last five (5) years.

• Experience providing financial support services****

• Experience working in a mailroom or printshop
• Experience working in a logistic environment such as but not limited to distribution centers, warehouses and manufacturing.
• Experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies or directives.
