DutiesThe School Support Clerk provides administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the school office. Responsibilities may include:
• responding to inquiries from students, parents, and staff;
• maintaining student records and files;
• scheduling appointments;
• preparing correspondence;
• providing general front-line customer service

The duties of this position must be performed on Six Nations territory.
CR‑04 positions are full‑year positions and, as a result, employees are required to work during the summer months.
Intent of the process
The intent of this selection process is to fill a School Support Clerk position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to fill similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements, security requirements, various conditions of employment, various locations and durations (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Indigenous Services Canada.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Notes:
1.The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
◦A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
◦An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as two years experience working in an office environment that required tasks such as: typing, filing, sending and replying to e-mails, answering telephone inquiries, etc, and training in the basic use of computers.

EXPERIENCE:
EXP1- Experience in using technology (e.g. e-mail, Internet, word processing, information management system, spreadsheets, Canva, etc.).
EXP2 - Experience providing client service

ASSET - EXPERIENCE:
AEXP1 - Experience liaising and maintaining relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
AEXP2 - Experience working in Indigenous communities
AEXP3 - Experience using teaching related information management systems such as Edsembli, EQAO data, Cardinal Basepoint etc.
