Duties
Geo-Spatial and Data Technologists
• Obtain, verify and interpret geographic information systems (GIS) data to develop and enhance GIS products.
• Develop and enhance information collection, storage, retrieval and delivery mechanisms.
• Adapt processes to meet client needs.
• Provide training and assistance on the use of GIS tools and data within ArcGIS.

Intent of the process
Successful applicant is required to work in Regina, SK. Telework or alternate work locations will not be an option.

Completion of a program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in geographic information systems (GIS), or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/ or experience

Experience using GIS software to create and manipulate geo-spatial data Experience managing/ using and manipulating information and data to develop GIS-related analytical products Experience analyzing and resolving GIS-related issues Experience using Microsoft Excel, or a similar program

Preference will be given to veterans first, followed by Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of jobs located in Nunavut or Yukon. For positions located in Nunavut, qualified Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement will be appointed first.
