Duties
Geo-Spatial and Data Technologists
• Obtain, verify and interpret geographic information systems (GIS) data to develop and enhance GIS products.
• Develop and enhance information collection, storage, retrieval and delivery mechanisms.
• Adapt processes to meet client needs.
• Provide training and assistance on the use of GIS tools and data within ArcGIS.
Intent of the process
Successful applicant is required to work in Regina, SK. Telework or alternate work locations will not be an option.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and
throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain an RCMP security
clearance may involve, but is not limited to, a security/reliability interview, a field investigation
regarding matters of criminal activity, verification of credit/financial status, reference checks,
education, employment history, online activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc., and may
require certain residency requirements.

Candidates will be required to show original proof of education. Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information at http://www.cicic.ca/.
📌 FOR EACH EXPERIENCE CRITERIA, please provide the following MANDATORY information:
1 - Name of the department or organization where the experience was acquired;
2 - Title of the position occupied; and
3 - Specific details of tasks or projects demonstrating how the experience was acquired, and provide concrete examples.

The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship or permanent resident status prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates; Permanent resident card.
Testing/interviews will be conducted at the location of the employer's choice.
Candidates may be required to pay for all assessment and travel expenses.

Conditions of employment

Various levels of security clearances (from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Enhanced Reliability Status to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Secret clearance)
Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material
Possession of a valid Canadian Driver’s licence equivalent to a Class 5 in the province of the position
