About the position

Duties
Are you interested in flying airplanes and helicopters in a simulated environment and maintaining aircraft and simulator hardware and software?
If yes then we want to hear from you!
Some of the responsibilities are:
▶ Performs routine maintenance on flight simulator systems and conducts functional daily simulator pre-flight checks, including flight test and operation of systems.
▶ Isolates, identifies and repairs or replaces defective components in the simulators, computers and simulator training aids; and adjusts and calibrates equipment to meet functional performance standards.
▶ Analyzes and modifies the operation of flight simulators using specialized software and utilities.
▶ Researches various aircraft manufacturers’ manual, wiring diagrams, operating manuals and other aircraft information sources to gain and increase understanding of flight and systems operations, and potential equipment anomalies.
▶ Completes and tracks all simulator and equipment maintenance records in compliance with the Simulator Maintenance Quality Management System Maintains simulator training aids.
▶ Provides continuous monitoring of the audible and visual simulator alarms to ensure a rapid response to all situations that could potentially disrupt training and/or render the premises unsafe.
Work environment
Flight Simulator Operations are a dynamic team responsible to maintain a fixed wing C90A full flight simulator (FFS) and another FFS and flight training device (FTD) that has an interchangeable Bell 412EPI and Bell 429 flight decks. We have a wide range of simulator technologies and manufactures, so there is always something to learn and repair. We are a team of 7 members supported by knowledgeable instructors and aircraft maintenance engineers that work closely with us to ensure that the training devices are representative of their aircraft.
We have a 2 week shift rotation: day shifts 7:00-15:00 and evening shifts 14:30–22:30 (Monday-Friday), flexible to minor adjustments depending on operational requirements. ED: A secondary school diploma AND a completion of an acceptable program in electronics technology
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
