About the position

Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative support, including data entry and record management
- Receiving, classifying and sorting mail and client information
- Maintaining and updating various databases and tracking systems
- Ensuring accuracy of data and information
- Assist in preparing reports and tracking information
Work environment
You will be working in a high-volume client service environment providing clerical support in office and warehouse environments. Tasks can be repetitive in nature. Physical effort will be required.
Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to create a CR-03 pool of qualified candidates within Service Canada to staff positions in Victoria (British Columbia), Surrey (British Columbia), Vancouver (British Columbia), Edmonton (Alberta), Winnipeg (Manitoba)
This pool could also be used to staff similar positions of various tenures within Employment and Social Development Canada in Victoria (British Columbia), Surrey (British Columbia), Vancouver (British Columbia), Edmonton (Alberta), Winnipeg (Manitoba)
A random selection of applications may be made. Selected applicants will be assessed and those who meet all the essential qualifications will be placed in the qualified pool(s). Subsequent random selections may be made from the remaining applications and assessments may be conducted at a later date.

Education:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
•A Secondary School Diploma refers to a High School Diploma.
•Equivalencies granted by provincial or territorial authorities as a secondary school equivalency (e.g. General Education Development (GED), Adult Basic Education (ABE), etc.) will be accepted
•A degree from a recognized* post-secondary institution will be accepted in lieu of a Secondary School Diploma
(*A recognized post-secondary institution includes those categorized as "recognized" as well as "authorized" by The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICIC), external)

•The acceptable combination will be evaluated by considering a relevant combination of education, training and/or experience that would demonstrate that the candidate has the level of reading, writing, mathematical and critical thinking skills normally associated with someone successfully completing secondary school. In the absence of the Secondary School Diploma – the combination of the education, training and/or experience should equate to 6 years.

Candidates with foreign educational credentials are required to provide proof of Canadian equivalency that meet the standards set by the Treasury Board of Canada for employment in the public core administration.
