About the position

Duties
The Asset and Project Management team at La Mauricie National Park is seeking a Technical Services Officer who will be responsible for planning and coordinating operational work, coordinating field work teams, providing technical support, and monitoring projects, while ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
Telework arrangements are applied in accordance with current directives from Parks Canada and the Treasury Board.
Intent of the process
Candidates who have qualified in process 2024-CAP-MWQ-EA-VAR-036 will be automatically transferred to the present process.
This process could be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with different employee status, security level or language requirements, in these same locations or elsewhere in the
country.

• Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.

Operational Requirements

• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on diverse, sometimes remote, terrain;
• Willingness to wear Parks Canada’s uniform and required protective equipment.
• Must be willing to obtain certification to operate various types of land vehicles (e.g., all-terrain vehicles) and watercraft (motorized or non-motorized boats), as required.
• Willingness to obtain the required certification for the commissioning of various types of trail/terrain vehicles (e.g., all-terrain vehicles) and motorized and non-motorized boats, as required.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, shift work, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required

You need (essential for the job)

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following
• A college diploma in construction engineering technology, architectural technology, civil engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience in a field related to the position.

• Experience in the operational management of human and financial resources, including the monitoring of contracts and projects.
• Experience in preparing, drafting and updating technical documents using computer tools such as Word, Excel and AutoCAD, in order to support the planning and coordination of simple work activities and projects.
• Experience in planning, coordinating and monitoring asset maintenance activities and projects.
