💼 𝐊𝐄𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒:
🍽️ 𝟏- As a Food Services Helper, you will support food production operation in a cook-chill environment by assisting with basic preparation tasks such as trimming meat and measuring ingredients, while ensuring that kitchen areas and equipment are clean and properly maintained. You will assist with the receiving, unloading, storage, preparation, and distribution of food supplies to various delivery points, while maintaining organized and safe storage areas.
The role includes operating kitchen equipment and providing on-the-job training to offender workers to develop their skills, safety awareness, and positive work behaviours. You will also report equipment issues and ensure all activities comply with established safety, security, and fire prevention protocols.
👩🍳 𝟐- As a Cook’s Helper, you will support food productions by assisting with ingredient preparation, following recipes, and performing short-order cooking, such as breakfast items, sandwiches, and other hot foods. You will rethermalize meals, serve food while maintaining portion control, and monitor food temperatures to ensure safety and quality. The role also includes supporting supply and inventory control activities, including the receiving, storage, preparation, and distribution of food products.
You will maintain cleanliness in kitchen, dining, and storage areas, and operate a variety of kitchen equipment while reporting any issues. A key aspect of the role is training offender workers in food preparation, service, safety procedures, and workplace behaviours to support their employability and rehabilitation. You will also ensure all activities comply with established safety, security, and fire prevention procedures.
