DutiesInvestigative Support Assistant
The Investigative Support Assistant will be working in a busy police environment which will include exposure to unsettling/graphic material. They will provide operational, administrative and financial support for the General Investigation Section (GIS) unit. This will include, but is not limited to, monitoring of the GIS email proxy, unit fleet management, procurement of supplies, use of various RCMP operating systems, and GIS correspondence (including mail and parcels).
District Clerk
The District Clerk will be working in a busy office environment which may include exposure to unsettling/graphic materials. Duties will include, but are not limited to, monitoring of the Western Alberta District, district email proxy, tracking projects, district correspondence (including mail and parcels), updating directories, filing, maintenance of office equipment, fleet management, procurement of supplies, payment of invoices, and Occupational Health & Safety.

Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff two (2) positions on a indeterminate basis in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Conditions of employment
• RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS) security clearance.
Those selected must meet and maintain the above condition of employment throughout their employment.
The process requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.
Operational Requirements
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
• Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required.
• Willingness and ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.

EDUCATION
• Successful completion of two years secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*

EXPERIENCE
• Experience providing administrative support*
*Administrative support can include but are not limited to the following: Ordering supplies, Filing, Handling/processing incoming and outgoing mail, monitoring a busy email proxy
• Experience providing financial support services**
**Financial support services can include but are not limited to: Paying invoices, handling a unit credit card.
• Experience using databases (data entry, running reports, queries)
• Experience working with internal and external clients
