• Reliability status security clearance
• Possession of a valid driver’s license or personal mobility to a degree normally associated with the possession of a driver’s license
• Continuous professional registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba with liability insurance as outlined by the governing body.
• Willingness and ability to perform on call duties, work after hours, and on weekends as required.
• Willingness and ability to complete mandatory education/training relevant to the position, including cultural competency training.
• Willingness and ability to travel in small aircraft, off road vehicles and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas .
• Medical Clearance
PRE-PLACEMENT: Category 1 health evaluation
PERIODIC: Category 3 health evaluation according to the schedule outlined in the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard for “First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Nurses Assigned to Isolated Posts in Northern First Nations Communities”
For persons proposed for relocation to an isolated post/remote location and who have dependents: a valid Category 1 medical clearance for their dependent(s) in accordance with section 4.2 of the Isolated Post and Government Housing Directive and Appendix A of the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard Schedule (http://www.njc-cnm.gc.ca/directive/index.php?hl=1&lang=eng&merge=3&did=4&vid=12&pv=1 )
For persons proposed for relocation to an isolated post/remote location and who have dependents: consent to their dependent(s) to undertake a Category 1 periodic health evaluation in accordance with Appendix A of the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard Schedule (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/(S(5xos1g45ufdaaz45lxatyqms))/doc-eng.aspx?id=32632&section=html)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution* with an acceptable specialization in nursing, nursing service administration, nursing education or some other specialty relevant to the position.

Experience
• Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with partners or stakeholders.

• Experience in the planning, development, and/or evaluation of healthcare programming
