About the position

Join the Yukon’s RCMP’s Business Strategies and advise senior leadership while leading a team that develops financial, resourcing and reporting solutions for our communities. In this role you will provide strategic business analysis and options for contract partner budgets and human resourcing needs. You will hold a lead role in the multi-year financial planning process and the development and implementation of financial strategies to attain organizational goals. The position leads support analysis across a variety of tasks and collaborates with internal and external partners. Intent of the process
This process will be used to staff an indeterminate full time position in Whitehorse, Yukon. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and used to staff indeterminate, term, full-time and part-time positions.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

HOW TO ANSWER SCREENING QUESTIONS

1. Experience in researching, and analyzing information from various sources (such as spreadsheets, databases, information systems, and/or policy).
2. Experience developing options and recommendations for various stakeholders, that incorporate risk, costs, and impact considerations.
3. Experience preparing at least 2 different types of written reports including but not limited to: business cases, business memos, briefing notes, multi-year planning or strategy documents.
4. Experience in data manipulation, transformation and using modern data analysis and visualization tools such as various MS Software’s and/or power BI.

1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position.
2. Advanced training in policy, international relations, criminology, or data analytics.

3. Working knowledge of Treasury Board directives and guidelines, Access to Information and Privacy Acts, Territorial Policing Service Agreement and/or Community Tripartite Agreements.
4. Experience in developing and implementing administrative processes related to financial forecasting, procurement or staffing and recruitment.
