Work environment
The position is located in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. If not already a resident in Whitehorse, YT, the selected candidate will have to relocate to Whitehorse. The remote work or the telework is not possible. The work requires to be in office 5 days a week.
Intent of the process
📢 The immediate intent of the process is to staff a temporary full-time position, in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.
A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established, which could be used to staff temporary, and/or permanent positions, with similar qualifications, various linguistic profiles, various security requirements, and/or various tenures at RCMP. Conditions of employment may vary according to the positions to be staffed.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Successful applicant is required to work in Whitehorse, YT. Telework or alternate work locations will not be an option.

Conditions of employment
Whitehorse is classified as an Isolated Post. As such, the successful candidate must meet all the conditions under the Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive prior to appointment. In addition, the successful candidate will be entitled to an Isolated Post Allowance.
Security Clearance: Royal Canadian Mounted Police Enhanced Reliability Status
RCMP: All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.

• Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required.

The minimum standard is:
• Successful completion of two years* of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
*Two years of secondary school is typically completion of grade ten.

1. Experience providing administrative support services.
2. Experience providing information and guidance to the public or clients, both in person and on the phone.
3. Experience with computer applications including word processing, databases and spreadsheet programs.
