Intent of the process
This process will be used to staff one indeterminate full-time position in Regina, Saskatchewan. A qualified pool of candidates may be established and used to staff similar positions with various tenures.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and
throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain an RCMP security
clearance may involve, but is not limited to, a security/reliability interview, a field investigation
regarding matters of criminal activity, verification of credit/financial status, reference checks,
education, employment history, online activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc., and may
require certain residency requirements.

Candidates will be required to show original proof of education. Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information at http://www.cicic.ca/.
The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship or permanent resident status prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates; Permanent resident card.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization* in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
*The course for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Recent* and significant** experience in providing informal conflict management services in a workplace setting including conflict coaching, facilitated discussions/mediation, and group interventions as a third party neutral
*Recent means the experience was gained within the last five (5) years.
**Significant means to the depth and breadth of the experience normally acquired in providing a full range of informal conflict management services in the workplace for a period of approximately two (2) years. However, a shorter duration may be considered based on demonstrated complexity and diversity of work handled, scope of work, and/or level of direct responsibility for a wide variety of complex files and/or project. Clear and specific examples, as well as date ranges (month/year) and where the related experience was gained must be provided by the candidates in their application.
Experience in delivering training relevant to conflict management
Recent* and significant** experience in providing advice to management on matters related to effective workplace conflict prevention or management.
*Recent means the experience was gained within the last five (5) years.
**Significant means to the depth and breadth of the experience normally acquired in providing a full range of informal conflict management services in the workplace for a period of approximately two (2) years. However, a shorter duration may be considered based on demonstrated complexity and diversity of work handled, scope of work, and/or level of direct responsibility for a wide variety of complex files and/or project. Clear and specific examples, as well as date ranges (month/year) and where the related experience was gained must be provided by the candidates in their application.

Completion of Conflict Coaching training with an evaluation of ‘competent’

Certification: Chartered Mediator designation from the ADR Institute of Canada, Inc.
Minimum of one hundred and twenty (120) hours of training of informal conflict management/alternate dispute resolution training applicable in a workplace setting, which must include sixty (60) hours of mediation skills training
