About the position

Duties
Located at the Parks Canada office in downtown Revelstoke, the Administrative Support (Receptionist) is the main point of contact for visitors at this location. Duties include:
• providing information to visitors by phone, email, or in person
• selling passes and merchandise
• general administrative support

Intent of the process
The immediate need is to fill a bilingual temporary full-time position of 6 months (approx. March to September).
This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic requirements in same or other parts of the country.

EDUCATION
Completion of secondary school, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.

EXPERIENCE
EX1: Recent experience in front-line customer service operations (on the phone or in person)
EX2: Recent experience using computers, including Microsoft Office and Internet navigation

KNOWLEDGE
K1: Knowledge of general digital office administrative procedures and practices.
ABILITIES
A1: Ability to communicate effectively.
A2: Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, meeting deadlines within an environment of changing demands, and conflicting priorities.
