🏢 In line with Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) direction, the Department of National Defence has adopted a common hybrid work model where employees work at their designated worksite at least 3 days each week, or 60% of their regular schedule. Some positions may require full-time on-site presence.

The intent of this process is to build a dynamic pool of essentially qualified candidates to fill current and future vacancies across DND’s operational landscape. The objective of this process is to staff positions in the Defence Intelligence Officer Recruitment Program (DIORP). This program prepares its participants for a challenging and rewarding career in the field of defence intelligence.
During the program, candidates learn new skills and develop their talents to become qualified defence intelligence officers.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a Master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization* in economics, sociology or statistics.
*Specialization is defined as having taken a minimum of 2 courses in social science, or statistics, from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Notes:
1. Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
2. An indeterminate incumbent of a former ES position on June 30, 1967 who became an EC on June 22, 2009, who does not possess the minimum level of education as indicated for Part A above is deemed to meet this minimum educational standard based on his/her education, training and/or experience.

AEX4: Experience analyzing thematic security issues such as national security, weapons proliferation, military capabilities, cyber or other security and defence related subjects or fields
Asset Ability:
Ability to communicate in an additional language other than the official languages (French or English).
