About the position
Duties
- Responsible for the direct delivery of some of Indigenous Service Canada’s social programs, including ISC’s Income Assistance and Assisted Living programs.
- Supports Yukon communities in the delivery of ISC social programs.
- Actively participates in local support networks to help advance access to programs and services available to Indigenous peoples living in the Yukon and coordination among local providers delivering social programming.
- Responsible for the delivery of other ISC services including Registrations, Status Cards, and Estates.

Intent of the process
📢 The immediate intent of the process is to staff indeterminately one position at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.
A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established, which could be used to staff temporary, and/or permanent positions, with similar qualifications, various linguistic profiles, various security requirements, and/or various tenures at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, within the Yukon Region. Conditions of employment may vary according to the positions to be staffed.

Operational Requirements

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in engaging with Indigenous communities or organizations.
- Experience in the delivery of programs or services.
- Significant* experience in managing a team.
- Experience working on files dealing with Indigenous issues on matters pertaining to health and social development.
*Significant means breadth and depth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various complex related activities normally acquired over a two year period. The amount, the complexity and the diversity of activities will be taken into consideration.
