About the position
DutiesStudent Entry Gate and Visitor Centre Attendant:
Revenue collection at various visitor service locations including visitor centres, entry gates, day use areas and retail locations. This includes providing comprehensive information to the visiting public on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to: campgrounds, trails, points of interest, safety, wilderness travel, park regulations and policies, selling a variety of passes, and properly accounting for revenue received.
Student Campground Attendant:
Visitor service, revenue collection and campground operations. This includes but is not limited to greeting visitors and providing orientation, information and direction; confirming reservations; selling of campsites; providing support to grounds cleaning and litter picking.
All attendants must be willing to resolve visitor complaints or concerns as needed and demonstrate tasks to others when required.

Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.
Intent of the process
Some of these positions may be funded by the Youth Employment Skills Strategy (YESS), which aims to create temporary employment opportunities for youths from 15 - 30 years of age who are facing one or more barriers to employment. Barriers may be any part of your past or present experience that makes it difficult to obtain or maintain meaningful employment. Some of the positions advertised in this poster are funded by the YESS program, though we encourage any person who is interested to apply.

Operational Requirements

EDUCATION
Students who are currently registered at a secondary school (Minimum Grade 11) or post-secondary at an accredited institution or participating in adult education and retraining programs at the secondary level, operated under the authority of an accredited academic institution.
The proof of registration must include the student's official name and the name of the educational institution.
A list of registered classes is not considered a proof of enrolment.
