Duties
We are seeking Information Technology (IT) professionals who are interested in joining an organization that offers opportunities to work in a stimulating and challenging environment, where technology plays a crucial and strategic role.

Our IT professionals are involved in creating or maintaining solutions, systems, platforms and tools, or skillfully integrating existing commercially off the shelf products, with the overall objective of protecting and presenting nationally significant examples of Canada's natural and cultural heritage, and foster public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment in ways that ensure the ecological and commemorative integrity of these places for present and future.

Intent of the process
This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic profiles in the Banff Field Unit, the Mountain Parks or other Field Units across the country.

Conditions of employment

• Obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, including fingerprints;
• Possession and maintenance of a valid class 5 driver's license (Class L, N or other graduated licenses will not be accepted).

Operational Requirements

• Willing and able to travel and work in a variety of climatic and geographical conditions
• Willing and able to work weekends, shift work, on-call, statutory holidays and overtime, if required
• Willing and able to perform strenuous physical activity effectively and safely (e.g. lift heavy or awkward items up to 50 lbs)

You need (essential for the job)

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following
Education:
1) Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary education program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position;
OR
2) Possession of one of the following certification: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA;
OR
3) an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Proof of education will be required at time of interview.

EXPERIENCE IN:
EX1: Recent** experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 products and Windows 11 operating system
EX2: Recent** experience with troubleshooting and supporting Android and IPhone devices
EX3: Recent** experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting personal computer hardware.
EX4: Recent** experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting networking devices and supporting equipment.
EX5: Recent** experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting security cameras or IoT devices.
EX6: Recent** experience working in an IT Helpdesk capacity or similar frontline customer service.
** RECENT EXPERIENCE is defined as experience obtained within the last three (3) years

K1 : Knowledge of Banff National Park and Parks Canada’s mandate
K2 : Knowledge of networking, cloud, software, hardware, operating systems, databases, scripting and IT security concepts
