Transport Canada directly contributes to the Safety and Security of Canadians on a daily basis.
What you will be doing and working as an Engineering Test Pilot –Fixed Wing in the Civil Aviation Branch at Transport Canada:
• You will determine the flight test program necessary for the aircraft certification approval.
• You will act as test pilot flight crew member to conduct flight tests necessary for certification and to audit manufacturers' production standards.
• You will be responsible to develop new regulations and new advisory material including acceptable flight test techniques necessary for certification of newly developed aircraft, aircraft systems and system features for which existing regulations and advisory material are either inadequate or do not exist.
• You will review qualifications and will make specialist recommendations for authorization for ministerial delegation to individuals and organizations for design approval flight testing of aeronautical products.
• You will maintain a high level of conventional and flight test specific piloting skills and will participate in professional development and skills enhancement training as required by the Department.
