About the position
Intent of the process
The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of English Essential and an Enhanced Reliability Status security clearance in Innisfail, Alberta.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Graduation from a recognized school of veterinary medicine.

OC1: Eligibility for membership in a Canadian veterinary association.
OC2: Valid provincial license for practice.
EX1: Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic setting providing primary or emergency care to dogs
EX2: Experience conducting research in the veterinary field.
EX3: Experience providing assistance and recommendations to clients or managers.
EX4: Experience handling and managing dogs of diverse temperaments and sizes
AB2: Ability to develop and deliver training sessions
AB3: Ability to organize and participate in committee meetings
Applied / assessed at a later date
K1: Knowledge of canine breeding, reproduction and genetics.
AB1: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
PS1: Effective Interpersonal Skills
PS2: Dependability
PS3: Thoroughness
PS4: Leadership

A.OC1: Accredited Theriogenologist by the American College of Theriogenologists or the European College of Animal Reproduction.
