Intent of the process
A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), various language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence, in Suffield (AB), Shilo (MB) and Winnipeg (MB).
Please note that all positions are on-site, and you will be expected to work in person for the entire duration of your scheduled hours.

COE2. Willing and able to obtain and retain a DND 404 driver’s license.
COE3. Willing and able to sit while operating various vehicles or equipment for periods of 4-5 hours at a time and climbing in and out of vehicles.
COE4. Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest*.

One or more of the above conditions of employment may be required, depending on the position being staffed. Additional conditions of employment could also be required, not listed above. Operational Requirements

OR1. Willing and able to work standby, overtime, and weekends, nights, evenings, and statutory holidays, as required.
OR2. Willing and able to wear CSA approved safety footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety regulations.
OR3. Willing and able to perform physically demanding tasks (including lifting and carrying up to 25kg, bending, and climbing into heavy equipment) in compliance with safety regulations.
OR4. Willing and able to learn and accept training on other vehicles to complete daily taskings.
OR5. Willing and able to work in an environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes and dust.
