Duties

Then join our team! With Parks Canada you will help encourage public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of Canada’s natural and cultural treasures.
You will provide and maintain a high level of service to visitors. You will provide operational support, prepare correspondence and maintain logs, update reference materials, and provide services to respond to general inquiries from the public looking for information relating to the Parks Canada. You will also recommend and implement strategies to ensure quality service to visitors is consistently provided and maintained.

Parks Canada offers hybrid work arrangements in alignment with the Treasury Board Secretariat's directive. Our hybrid work model consists of working on-site at least three (3) days per week (approximately 60% of your work schedule). Specific work arrangements will be discussed with your manager.
Intent of the process
This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic profiles in same or other parts of the country. Employees at the same group and level or equivalent and with the same employment tenure may be considered for deployment. If no deployment is made, applicants from other groups and levels will be considered in the advertised appointment process.
A random and/or top down selection of candidates may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.

Operational Requirements

The incumbent will be required to work shift work, including evenings (until 8:00 p.m.), weekends and holidays.

🎓EDUCATION:
A minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary education, OR an acceptable combination of experience or training in a field related to the position.

💼EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Significant* experience in front-line customer service operations (either on the phone or in person);
EX2: Significant* experience using computers, including Microsoft Office and Internet navigation;
EX3: Experience a fast-paced work environment.
*Significant is defined as the degree of experience normally gained through two (2) years or more of relevant experience, including at least one (1) year of continuous service.

K1: Knowledge of Canadian geography;
K2: Knowledge of customer service best practices.
