DutiesThe Arctic Marine Response Station is a primary SAR asset, located in Rankin Inlet, NU. Crews operate on a rotating schedule of up to 14 consecutive days of work followed by up to 14 days of rest. We equip our AMRS Crewmembers and Coxswains with essential training and skills to help them succeed in keeping mariners safe. Other duties of this position include:
• Conduct maritime SAR operations on a 24/7 basis by responding and providing assistance to persons and boaters in distress or in need of assistance;
• Supervising Search and Rescue Crew members and managing station operations;
• Participate in training with government and non-government organizations;
• Participate in community education and engagement sessions to increase awareness of SAR services.
