CR-05
The RCMP Cochrane administrative team provides administrative and operational support to the regular members of the Cochrane RCMP. Watch Clerks form an integral part of the administrative program, supporting General Duty Patrol members working days, nights, weekends and statutory holidays. Applicants MUST be willing to work a flexible shift schedule that varies from days, afternoons and nights including weekends and statutory holidays. Watch Clerks are responsible for providing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative and operational support in a dynamic and challenging workplace. This position is responsible for relaying information to members on duty and within the detachment regarding ongoing files to ensure RCMP members have all pertinent information. An ability to work independently, a high degree of accuracy and an eye for detail are required when preparing documents for court disclosure and entering data into several police database systems. The work involves tight deadlines, frequent interruptions with information arriving in multiple platforms requiring the need to quickly align with new priorities. This position is high stress and may include exposure to unsettling and / or graphic material.
CR-04
The RCMP Cochrane administrative team provides administrative and operational support to the regular members of the Cochrane RCMP. This CR-04 Detachment Services Administrative position is a Monday to Friday full-time day position responsible for a variety of administrative duties including providing service to the public with a focus on data maintenance in CPIC and PROS. This position may include exposure to unsettling and / or graphic material.
This process will be used to staff two (2) indeterminate full-time position in Cochrane, AB. A qualified pool of candidates may be established and used to staff similar positions with various tenures within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment).
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Experience in providing administrative support services*
*Administrative support services can include: coordinating and scheduling appointments, meetings and teleconferences; assisting with arranging travel and accommodations; preparing, transcribing and processing a variety of correspondence, reports and documentation; preparing and distributing mail; providing reception services, referring callers and visitors to the appropriate areas, conducting photocopying/scanning activities, maintain office equipment, etc.
Experience in data entry, and searching and retrieving data from various reports/systems.
(CR-05) Experience liaising with court representatives or officials, or preparing court disclosure packages and bail hearing packages.
Experience in maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Police Reporting Occurrence System (PROS) or Canadian Police Information (CPIC)
