Since 1976, the Receiver General Imaging and Operations Directorate (IRGOD) has managed bank reconciliation and provided investigative services for Government of Canada (Receiver General) payments. The organization acts as the Receiver General for bank reconciliation of all payments issued by the Government of Canada, as well as participating provincial programs. IRGOD provides investigative and customer service services for the authentication and status verification of Receiver General payments for financial institutions and government departments, and provides and coordinates fraud detection services for various government departments in collaboration with Canadian police forces.
IRGOD integrated document digitization into the Receiver General process in 2001. It provides high-quality, efficient document imaging and data capture services for federal agencies, leveraging in-house and private sector solutions. IRGOD provides image processing, indexing and secure archiving of electronic documents (Protected B, Secret), and supports government modernization and process automation. Imaging facilities are located in Matane (Quebec) and Winnipeg (Manitoba). A small team working closely with imaging operations is also located in Gatineau (Quebec).
IRGOD is supported by the Planning and Administrative Services (PAS) sector, which is responsible for the delivery of a range of administrative services, including contract management, purchasing and inventory management, operational support services, accommodation, linguistic services, training, document destruction, mailroom, warehousing and the implementation of security programs for the Imaging and Receiver General Operations Directorate (IRGOD).
The positions for which we are seeking candidates is in this innovative and dynamic environment located in Matane, Quebec, a welcoming city situated between the Lower St. Lawrence and the Gaspรฉ Peninsula.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various languages or security requirements, tenure within Public Services and Procurement Canada.
