Work environment

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) helps the Government of Canada serve Canadians. With a strong focus on quality customer service, we provide innovative common services such as real estate and building management, purchasing, banking, pay and pensions, and translation to other government departments, agencies, and boards. By providing these centralized services to departments and agencies, we enable them to focus on what they do best: providing their programs and services to Canadians.

More specifically, this inventory aims to fill positions at the Printing Centre (PC). The Printing Centres (PC) are responsible for providing printing, inserting, and distribution services on behalf of clients, federal departments, and agencies. The PC handles cheque issuance, private document printing, report production, and the processing of special mailings. The working environment in the PCs is comparable to that of a factory. That is to say, it is noisy and dusty. Employees must work under pressure and meet prescribed deadlines. The job of the DA-PRO consists of operating the printers and inserters.

On-site training will be provided.

Intent of the process

The purpose of this staffing process is to create a pool of partially qualified candidates to fill identical or similar positions in Winnipeg within the Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada. The duration and status of these jobs may vary depending on the position to be filled (indeterminate, term, casual – full-time or part-time, as needed or on-call). *partially – pending security clearance

Occasionally, management will determine the number of applications they wish to receive, and the selection will be made randomly by the system. Please be aware that there is no guarantee your application will be randomly selected by the system.

Following this random selection, only candidates who meet the criteria (education and/or experience) will be invited to the next evaluation stage. We thank all applicants for their interest in this selection process.
