The position is located in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. If not already a resident in Whitehorse, YT, the selected candidate will have to relocate to Whitehorse. The remote work or the telework is not possible. The work requires to be in the office 5 days a week.

"Whitehorse is classified as an Isolated Post. As such, the successful candidate must meet all the conditions under the Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive prior to appointment. In addition, the successful candidate will be entitled to an Isolated Post Allowance.

Duties

The M Division IT team consists of the network Support/Infrastructure and acquisitions units. Our role is to ensure that members have the necessary tools and support.

The IT asset team is in the process of establishing new divisional processes and your role will be to contribute to their implementation.

You will be required to manage projects, produce documentation, follow up with our clients, liaise with vendors and provide user training.

You will oversee the management of the divisional warehouse.

You will be required to prepare and coordinate equipment purchases and shipment while following procedures in place.

You will be required to perform physical onsite inventory of IT assets.

You will be required to research assets discrepancies and find solutions/answers.

You will be required to prepare and maintain budget spreadsheets on division-controlled IT assets expenditures, unit operating budgets and other budgets as required.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff a position on a indeterminate basis and create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. permanent or temporary) within the Yukon Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

Successful completion of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

• **Recent experience using accounting software such as SAP or Excel
• **Recent experience providing advice and guidance on programs and services to clients

**Recent experience signifies having performed these duties within the last three (3) years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

• Experience in developing guidelines, policies or procedures related to procurement
• Experience in developing guidelines, policies or procedures related to inventory maintenance
• Knowledge of the Federal Administration Act
• Knowledge of Federal Government contracting regulations
• Knowledge of asset life-cycle management

Operational Requirements
• Willingness and ability to work over-time, sometimes on short notice
• Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes, using various modes of transportation
• Willing and able to lift and carry objects (maximum of 20kg/ 44lbs).
• Willingness to relocate within 40 km of position location
