EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in land survey theory and practice or other related field.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
A member in good standing as a Professional Ontario Land Surveyor in one of the five disciplines recognized by the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors.
EXPERIENCES
1. Recent and Significant experience* in the provision of a full range of Geomatics Services in executing **Real Property projects.
2. Experience conducting Legal and Topographic surveys.
3. Experience in managing Land Surveying and Geomatics projects.
4. Experience in the application of information management policies and practices as it relates to Real Property spatial information holdings.
*Recent and Significant experience is defined as having managed real property projects of varying degrees of complexity and type for a minimum of ten years within the last fifteen years.
**Real property projects are defined as new construction or renovations (e.g. interior fit-up) for buildings, structures, improvements, and other utilities on, above, or below the surface of the land.
ASSET OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
- An active member of the Association of Canada Lands Surveyors (ACLS)
- Member of a Geomatics organization such as: Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG), The Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA), Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) or similar organization for more than 2 years.
ASSET EXPERIENCES
- Experience in Hydrography
- Experience in Geographic Information Management
- Experience in Geodetic Control Surveys
