Work environment

Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) strives to be a trusted partner that respects Indigenous perspectives and supports First Nations, Inuit and Métis in controlling the delivery of high-quality services for healthy, prosperous and thriving communities. With this unique vision, the Department’s work is grounded within two fundamental guiding principles: respect the diversity of Indigenous cultures and see their influence in the way we work; and recognizing that partnerships are at the core of how we do things.

ISC employees work a combination of in-office and telework. Physical onsite presence will be required for a minimum of 3 days per week in accordance with Treasury Board common hybrid work model for the Federal Public Service.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to fill two nurse consultant positions:
1- Nurse consultant in pharmacy – this position requires travelling frequently, minimum 12 times per year
2- Nurse consultant in communicable disease control and management

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions at Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various linguistic profiles and/or requirements as well as tenures (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) and/or security clearance (reliability or secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed. It may also be used to staff identical or similar positions by other regions or federal departments across Canada.

Note: Successful placement in a pool does not guarantee an offer of employment.
