Work environment

Who are we and what do we do?

The Digital Program at RCMP plays a key role in supporting the organization’s Digital Policing Strategy by driving agility, innovation and modernizing technologies such as the cloud, machine learning and artificial intelligence to name a few.

The increasingly high-tech nature of criminality has resulted in increased pressure on the RCMP and other police forces to invest in specialized, operational technology. The Digital Program, more than 600 employees strong, develops and implements leading edge technologies and applications to enhance police operations, prevent crime and keep Canadians safe.

What will you be doing?

As a member of The Digital Program, you will work with IT professionals delivering, engineering, onboarding and operating cloud-based solutions.

Your contributions in these areas will support key RCMP initiatives such as National Cybercrime and many other operational priorities, while simultaneously assisting the Government of Canada in meeting its cloud objectives.

Our team is currently working under a hybrid work schedule. The selected candidate will be required to report to the workplace, at 1200 Vanier Pkwy., 3 days per week. Virtual employment will not be considered.

Intent of the process

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.
