❗All communication relating to this process, including email correspondence and telephone conversations, may be used in the assessment of qualifications.

🚩Original proof of your education will be requested and must be provided during the selection process in order to verify that candidates meet the education requirement. Candidates who are unable to provide proof that they meet this essential qualification as requested may be eliminated from the process. 🏢In the context of the RCMP’s mandate, most positions are identified as onsite. Where feasible, as determined by operational requirements, flexible work arrangements (variable work week, flexible start and end times) or hybrid telework model (combination of onsite and offsite work) with a maximum of two days at home may be considered. The options may be discussed with the manager after an initial training period which requires a full time in office presence.

⭐In many selection processes the first step is screening. It's during the screening phase that the assessment board will decide whether your application will be considered further or will be rejected. Use the Screening Questionnaire wisely. By demonstrating how you meet the qualifications, you may better your odds at being considered further. You should consider using the STAR technique to answer: describe the Situation, the Tasks you were required to achieve, the Actions you took and the Results of your actions.
*Do not simply answer “Yes”. Should your examples not be concrete enough or should they contain insufficient details, your application may be rejected. We will not contact you to obtain further information. You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application; it is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples to illustrate how you meet each qualification. Failing to do so will result in your application being rejected.

⚠️Ethical Considerations: The use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in assessments raises ethical concerns, such as data privacy and security, informed consent, and the potential for unintended consequences. We must uphold ethical standards and prioritize the well-being and rights of individuals involved in the assessment process.
In light of these concerns, it is forbidden to use artificial intelligence during the assessment process. We are looking for examples of your experience and it must be described in your own words. The use of artificial intelligence could lead to exclusion from the process.

‼️Due to the nature of our work, we ask that if you apply for a position with the RCMP, please use discretion when discussing your application with others (including on social media). Limit it to those who have a need to know such as your immediate family members, closest friends, or your employer.
