IOGC manages and regulates oil and gas resources on designated First Nation lands across Canada. We are a non-unionized special operating agency within Indigenous Services Canada. Our dual mandate is to fulfill the Crown's fiduciary and statutory obligations related to the management of oil and gas resources on First Nation lands and to further First Nation initiatives to manage and control their oil and resources such as governance.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field related to compliance management (e.g., Business, Law, Finance, Public Administration, Environment, Science, Land Management, or Law Enforcement).
Experience:
*Significant and **recent experience in compliance and/or enforcement activities, either at a regulatory agency or in an operational capacity.
*Significant and **recent experience in the development, interpretation, or application of legislation, policies, or laws.
Experience in implementing compliance and enforcement strategies to ensure regulatory compliance.
Experience in coordinating and collaborating with key stakeholders and/or government agencies on regulatory or enforcement matters.
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a
Five (5) year period.
** Recent is defined as being within the last seven (7) years.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of relevant legal regimes and compliance management tools.
Knowledge of investigative techniques and preparation of reports
Knowledge preparing compliance and enforcement-related documentation.
