OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and personal protective equipment
• Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and / or statutory holidays and provincial / territorial holidays
• Willingness to travel and work in the Lake Louise, Yoho & Kootenay Field Unit
• Willingness to assist in forest fire suppression, including stand-by and extra duty, if required
• Extensive physical effort required to hike and / or work for prolonged periods of time
• Occasionally demonstrate tasks to others
• Must be able to live and work up to 10 (days) duration in a remote location, and in varied weather conditions
• Willingness to complete a certified chainsaw course

• Possession and maintenance of a valid class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent
• Will be required to undergo and pass pre-placement and periodic medical checks
