The Senior Analyst supports PPS in analyzing, researching, developing, implementing and maintaining programs, policies, solutions and services that directly impacts client services across the organization. The analysis provided will influence the decision-making process at various levels in the organization.
The Parliamentary Protective Service (PPS) is a separate and distinct organization and is not subject to the Public Service Employment Act. PPS has its own classification, compensation system and staffing regime. Persons appointed to PPS continue to be part of the federal government and will receive the public service pension plan and public service insurance benefits plan.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of a post-secondary program related to the position OR an acceptable combination of education, experience, and training.
EXPERIENCES:
EXP1: Significant* and recent** experience in conducting research (across both open and/or closed source platforms) and analyzing various types or source of information to support decision-making processes.
EXP2: Significant* and recent** experience in preparing briefing materials (such as reports, presentations, dashboards and other communication tools) for management or senior management.
EXP3: Experience manipulating and formatting large quantities of information.
DEFINITION:

Operational Requirements:
Willing and able to work overtime during evenings and weekends when required due to various events.
Willing and able to work statutory holidays (including Canada Day) when there are events within the precinct.
You must be eligible to obtain both a Site Access Clearance and Top Secret clearance. The process involves a background investigation that includes:
• a loyalty assessment;
• law enforcement verifications;
• credit and financial verifications;
• a security interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), previous employment, online activities, financial situation, alcohol and/or drug use;
• personal references as well as previous employers will also be contacted as part of the security screening process.
