The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is looking for talented and skilled individuals to join our dynamic team in Federal Policing, Protective Intelligence & Investigations Directorate (PIID). What will you be doing?
Intelligence analysts in PIID conduct all-source research to develop and disseminate accurate, timely, and actionable intelligence products, based on analysis of information collected from internal holdings, law enforcement and security partner information, and open sources. PIID intelligence analysts apply a variety of analytical techniques to assess and identify potential threats to protected persons and interests in Canada and abroad, as well as various trends of interest to decision-makers.
Intelligence analysts also support the planning and execution of major events in Canada, and they may also be deployed outside the National Capital Region to work in partnership with protective units in Canada and abroad. The analysts must also build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to exchange intelligence related to the unit's mandate.
Work environment
Our team is located at 73 Leikin Drive in Ottawa, Ontario (Barrhaven), in a modern building with plenty of free parking, convenient access to bus routes immediately outside of the building, free use of a gym, and a cafeteria onsite.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work and operational requirements, this position requires a minimum of four day per week at the designated worksite (Ottawa, Ontario).
The intent of the selection process is to staff fourteen (14) indeterminate positions of varying linguistic profiles with a RCMP ERS with Top Secret security clearance. The positions are located at 73 Leikin Drive, Ottawa, ON.
This selection process could also be used to staff similar positions of varying tenures, of varying linguistic profiles within the Protective Policing, RCMP.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization* in economics, sociology or statistics.
Notes:
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
