Duties

GS-STS-04 Duties:
↪This position works in a warehouse/stores organization on a Base/Wing or Defence Research facility and is responsible for carrying out multiple warehouse functions of the following including but not limited to receiving/shipping/ warehousing/ storage/stocktaking/distribution of stock/material and disposal.
↪There is no supervisory responsibility for this position.
↪The position may handle a range of materials and supplies including, but not exclusive to: Tools, spare parts, vehicle parts, MHE vehicles, Industrial supplies, clothing, food products, furniture, communications equipment, meals, wood, major equipment, medical equipment, preservation equipment, electronic equipment, construction equipment, surplus/disposal materials, weapons, map depot, quarters/lodging accommodations and hazardous materials such as petroleum, oil& lubricants.

GS-STS-05 Duties:
↪This position works in a warehouse/stores organization on a Base/Wing or Defence Research facility and is responsible for the warehousing and distribution of goods, including hazardous goods, and for carrying out multiple warehouse functions of the following including but not limited to receiving/shipping/warehousing/storage/ stocktaking/distribution of stock/material and disposal.

EX3 - Experience in file management, Microsoft Office and database usage.

↪ Must be able to perform a variety of physical demanding tasks including the ability to safely lift items up to 20kg.

↪ Must maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license without restrictions issued by the Province of Alberta or other provincial or territory equivalent throughout the entire period of employment.

↪ Must obtain and maintain a valid DND 404 Driver’s License throughout the entire period of employment.

↪ Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) respirator.

↪ Must obtain and maintain a Forklift qualification (3-5K)

✨ ONLY for STS-05:
↪ Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain Control of Hazardous Material certification and AHUR (3K) qualification (or alternative approved by DND).
