Duties

Public Services and Procurement Canada manages one of the largest and most diverse portfolios of real estate in the country and is the Government of Canada’s real property expert. Our Pacific Region extends from the Canada/US border to the Arctic, including British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. Our real property professionals include office accommodation specialists, architects, engineers, environmental scientists, real estate experts and asset and facility managers. Our work in delivering services is equally diverse; it includes construction and repairs to federal correctional facilities, research laboratories, border crossings, remote harbours as well as office fit-up in owned and leased facilities.

As a Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of financial and technical services to support the development and delivery of real property products and services through the use of systems and technologies.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar or identical positions with different tenures, various locations, and security requirements within Public Services and Procurement Canada in the Pacific Region.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
1) Experience in the coordination or support in the management of Real Property* projects.

2) Experience in the management of project financials or program financials.

3) Experience in the management of project documents for Real Property* projects.

4) Experience in resolving issues regarding projects, programs of projects, or processes.

* Real property projects are defined as new construction, renovations, remediation for buildings, structures, improvements, and other utilities on, above, or below the surface of the land.

Asset Qualifications:
1) Experience in managing Real Property* projects.

2) Experience working on major infrastructure projects such as docks and highways.

3) Experience working on Real Property* projects with a security component such as prisons.

4) Experience in the use of SAP as a financial management tool.

* Real property projects are defined as new construction, renovations, remediation for buildings, structures, improvements, and other utilities on, above, or below the surface of the land.

Reliability Status security clearance

1) Willingness and ability, in the future, to undergo and maintain additional security clearance such as secret and secret enhance, in order to meet government and clients’ needs.
