A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures (Indeterminate, Acting, Term, Deployment, Assignment, Secondment) within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management subgroup;
OR
Occupational Certification
- Eligibility for a recognized Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
1. Significant experience* in two (2) or more of the following areas:
o corporate accounting
o financial management advisory services
o financial policy
o accounting operations
o financial systems
o Budget, cost and Investment Management
o audit and internal control

2. Significant experience* in extracting, compiling, and analyzing financial information (qualitative or quantitative)

3. Experience providing advice, guidance or recommendations to various stakeholders (such as clients, partners or colleagues) on financial issues.

Note: * Significant experience will be evaluated in regards to the depth and breadth, complexity, and diversity of the work handled, and the level of autonomy demonstrated.

- Experience with project management systems (e.g. Project Navigator, National Project Management System (NPMS))
- Experience in supervising employees.

- Experience in preparing written documents such as executive summary, correspondence or presentations
- Experience in using, modifying or manipulating data with Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access at an advanced level (using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)), creating pivot tables and macros and using complex formulas)
- Experience in using, modifying or manipulating data with Analysis for Office, or other business intelligence or data analytics tools.
- Experience in the planning, budgeting, operations, or financial management of a Revolving Fund
- Experience in planning and managing of capital assets on an accrual basis (e.g. maintain assets on a monthly basis, analyze the accrual profile of capital assets)
- Experience in cost estimation or costing
- Experience in reviewing project documentation and providing advice and recommendation
- Experience working in the finance sector within the public service

- Be willing and able to work overtime on short notice.
- The Western Region of PSPC covers three time zones (Eastern, Central and Mountain). The candidate must be willing to work with colleagues in varying and multiple time zones.
