The Branch’s Social Engagement Section has a new opportunity for a Provincial Restorative Justice Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager of Social Engagement, the position is responsible for providing Divisional coordination of the Restorative Justice program to assist communities in providing services, develop and deliver training, and support project teams and other stakeholders within the government and communities. The Provincial Restorative Justice Coordinator supports the Crime Reduction Strategy in the Division by:
• building and maintaining partnerships
• liaising between the RCMP, other levels of government, community organizations and consultative groups involved in collaborative arrangements
• promoting referrals in specific cases where criminal justice diversion partnerships may provide opportunities to reduce criminalization and improve community safety outcomes
